The Glasgow City Council’s Land & Environmental Services is offering for sale at roadside 4 lots of round wood timber as per the attached schedule.

The quantities given within the Lot Particulars are provided by Glasgow City Council as a guide only and are based on a 10% random sample of each lot, calculated using length and mid diameter measurements taken on 11 June 09. 

It is the Bidders responsibility to satisfy themselves as to the exact quantity & quality of timber included in each or any Lot prior to submitting a bid.

Any bid submitted is to be a total price for that Lot in pounds sterling.  Glasgow City Council will not consider any bids submitted on a per unit basis i.e. per m3 or per tonne.  In addition bids for part lots will not be considered.

Glasgow City Council’s will invoice successful bidders within five working days of award of which payment must be made immediately. Sale will be on a ‘Roadside’ basis and the successful bidder will be responsible for arranging and meeting the full cost of appropriate haulage to remove all round timber within 4 weeks of written notification of bid success.  Lots are offered for uplift only and no further timber processing will be permitted. It will be the successful bidders responsibility to uplift timber of which Glasgow City Council will not be responsible for any damages and to ensure adequate levels of insurance are in place to access Glasgow City Council property

All offers which must be in sealed bid and interested parties must complete the attached pricing schedule and return it to the undernoted using the attached address label by 12.00 noon 21st July 2009.
