To deliver on these objectives the City Woodland Initiative has established:
The partnership funded Glasgow Woodland Unit - which has initially focused on the management requirements of woodland in Council ownership. This currently accounts for 60% of the City's total tree cover.
Glasgow Woodland Unit - A network of organisations with an interest in various aspects of woodland management - to address the management requirements and realise the benefits of improving and extending principally non Council owned woodland.
This web site - to both disseminate information, advice and guidance to the wider community about its aims and activities as well as providing a forum for co-ordinated sction on multiple fronts by City Woodland Initiative Network members.
